Ocotlan,
home of the celebrated Aguilar Sisters and their clay
figures, and site of one of the most traditional
indigenous open-markets.
Day 1:
After lunch, depart from Tucson & Green Valley to
Hermosillo by private motor coach. Overnight in
Hermosillo. Dinner on own.
Day 2:
Transfer to Hermosillo airport to take our flight to
Puebla. Arrive in Puebla in the evening, transfer to
your hotel (Holiday Inn Downtown or similar). Overnight
in Puebla. Breakfast included. Lunch and dinner on own.
Day 3:
After breakfast (included) check out of hotel and be
ready to take our private motor coach to Oaxaca, a four
hour drive on one of the most scenic roads of the
Country. We will be in Oaxaca by lunch time. Check in to
our hotel (Camino Real or similar). Time to relax, and
we will take a walk around the Santo Domingo Plaza.
Lunch included, dinner on own.
Day 4:
After breakfast (included), we will take a Oaxaca City
Tour. Lunch included. Dinner on own. Overnight in
Oaxaca.
Day 5:
After breakfast (included), be ready to take our tour to
Milta, Teotitlan del Valle & Santa Maria del Tule, where
you can see the world’s largest tree. Lunch included.
Dinner on own. Overnight in Oaxaca.
Day 6:
After breakfast (included) we will visit Monte Alban,
Zapotec city on the top of a hill & Atsompa, the place
where the artisans work with green clay. Lunch included.
Dinner on own. Overnight in Oaxaca.
Day 7:
After breakfast (included) tour to Arrazola, best place
to buy Alebrijes; we will continue to Cuilapan,
site of the largest Mixtec temples. Then we will visit
the open market in Zaachila. Lunch included. Dinner on
own. Overnight in Oaxaca.
Day 8:
After breakfast (included) we will visit Ocotlán and its
fabulous indigenous open-market. We will continue to San
Bartolo Coyotepec, Santo Tomas Jalietza and San Martin
Tuilcajete. Lunch included. Farewell Dinner (included).
Overnight in Oaxaca.
Day 9:
Day at Leisure.
Explore Oaxaca on own. Lunch & Dinner on own. Overnight
in Oaxaca.
Day 10:
After breakfast (included) check out of the hotel and be
ready to drive back to Puebla. Let’s take a walk around
Puebla one more time. Overnight in Puebla.
Day 11:
After breakfast (included), check out of the hotel and
be ready to take our flight back to Hermosillo, where we
will continue to Green Valley and Tucson by private
motor coach. We will arrive back at pick up points
after midnight. Argonaut Tours will help out with those
who do not have rides back home.
